What JiviqBot is
JIVIQ is an AI assistant that businesses use to answer their own customers. When a JIVIQ customer connects their own website, JiviqBot reads that site's pages so the customer's assistant can answer from their own content. That is the only thing JiviqBot does.
When it visits — and when it does not
JiviqBot only fetches a website after that website's owner explicitly connects it inside their JIVIQ account. It does not crawl the open web, it does not discover sites on its own, and it does not follow links off the connected domain. If JiviqBot reached your site, someone with a JIVIQ account entered your address as their website. If that was not you or someone on your team, contact us at the address below and we will look into it.
How to identify it
JiviqBot identifies itself on every request with this User-Agent:
Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; JiviqBot/1.0; +https://jiviq.com/bot) It requests pages over HTTPS only, follows at most a handful of redirects, reads a bounded amount of each page, and honours a short pause between requests so it stays gentle on your server.
How to allow or block it
JiviqBot obeys robots.txt
(RFC 9309). To block it from all or part of your site, add a rule for the
JiviqBot user-agent to your robots.txt:
User-agent: JiviqBot
Disallow: /
Replace / with a specific path to block only part of the site. If your site
or firewall blocks by user-agent, you can allow JiviqBot by permitting the
JiviqBot token — that is how a JIVIQ customer whose own security stopped the
import gets it through. If you would rather not touch your site at all, the JIVIQ customer
can instead upload their content to JIVIQ as files.
Data and privacy
JiviqBot reads only the publicly reachable pages of the connected site, on behalf of that site's owner, and stores the content in that owner's JIVIQ knowledge base. See our Privacy Policy for how JIVIQ handles data.
